As a photographer in Florence, I often find that the quiet hours just after sunrise offer something truly special. On this particular morning, the city slowly emerged from sleep, bathed in soft golden light and serene silence. We met early to celebrate a deeply meaningful moment: a family photoshoot in honor of their daughter’s graduation. She had brought her American graduation cap all the way to Florence – a symbol of achievement, pride, and new beginnings.
My photographic style is warm, luminous, and intimate – filled with soft tones, delicate light, and gentle elegance. I aim to create images that feel as honest as they are beautiful, in colors that reflect emotion, not filters.
Florence at sunrise is a dream to photograph. The air is crisp, the streets still empty, and every historic detail glows under the first touch of sunlight. We started from Piazzale Michelangelo , where the light gently wrapped around the family like a warm embrace and where Florence unfolded beneath us – the Arno winding through the city, the rooftops glowing in the early light. It was breathtaking.
We captured both portraits and natural, candid moments – smiles, hugs, quiet laughter.
Our final stop was a peaceful garden tucked away from the world, where time seemed to pause just for them. The light was perfect, golden and gentle, adding a timeless feel to each frame.
